中考英語知識點：the的用法口訣

定冠詞the用在可數名詞的單數或復數或不可數的名詞前面。基本用法如下：

定冠詞the用法口訣

江河海洋與群山①，沙漠群島海峽灣②。 特指重提洋樂器③，獨一無二定冠添④。

階級黨派朝代前⑤，家族民族與報刊⑥。 廠礦機關農歷節⑦，天體組織會議船⑧。

習慣用語普構專⑨，形容詞加the名詞變 ⑩。方位次序最高級⑾，前面都加定冠the⑿。

①江河海洋與群山---用在江河、海洋與群山等名稱的前面(不包括湖、峰)，如：

the Changjiang River 長江 the Thames 泰晤士河 the Red Sea 紅海 the Baltic 波羅的海

the Pacific 太平洋 the Alps阿爾卑斯山 the Himalaya Mountains. 喜馬拉雅山。

② 沙漠、群島、海峽灣---指：用在沙漠、群島、海峽與海灣等名稱的前面

the Sahara Desert撒哈拉沙漠 The Philippines 菲律賓群島 the British Isles不列顛群島

the English Channel英吉利海峽 the Taiwan Straits 臺灣海峽 the Persian Gulf波斯灣

③特指重提洋樂器---用在特指的人或物、談話雙方都熟悉的人或物、再次提到前面出現過的人或物前。

Look at the blackboard。 The man with a flower in his hand is Jack。

西洋樂器: play the piano 彈鋼琴 the violin 小提琴 the guitar 吉他。the Sax薩克斯(中國樂器不加the)

④獨一無二定冠添---用在世界上獨一無二的事物的前面

The earth turns around the sun.(地球繞太陽旋轉)。 The moon

⑤階級黨派朝代前---用在階級、黨派、朝代名的前面，如：

the working class工人階級 the Communist Party共產黨 the Republican Party共和黨

the Tang Dynasty唐朝 the Ming Dynasty明朝 the Stone Age石器時代

⑥家族民族與報刊---用在家族、民族、報刊的前面，如：

定冠詞和姓氏的復數形式連用時，指“全家人”。定冠詞和姓氏的單數形式連用時，指該姓氏的某一個人。

The Browns get along well with their neighbours.布朗一家和鄰居們相處得很好。

定冠詞和表示民族的詞連用時指“整個民族”或某國人。

The Chinese are a brave and hard working people.中華民族是一個勤勞勇敢的民族。

⑦廠礦、機關、農歷節(西方節日不加the，都帶day)，指：

the Beijing No.2 Iron and Steel北京第二鋼鐵廠

the Ministry of Education教育部 the State Department美國國務院

農歷節：the Mid-Autumn Festival中秋節 the Spring Festival春節 the Dragon Boat Festival端午節

西方節日不加the(帶day): Women’s Day 婦女節 Labour Day 勞動節 Children’s Day兒童節

April Fools’ Day愚人節 Thanksgiving Day感恩節 Christmas Day圣誕節

⑧天體、組織、會議、船，指：

天體，如：the Earth地球 the Sun太陽 the moon月球。但其他8個行星都不加。

組織，如：the Communist Youth League共青團 the Communist Party共產黨

會議，如：the 11th Party Congress第十一次黨代會 the Geneva Agreement日內瓦協議

船舶(也包括火車、飛機名前)如：the Queen Mary瑪麗女王號(船名)the Comet 彗星號(飛機名)

⑨習慣用語普構專---指用在習慣用語、由普通名詞構成的專有名詞前面

用定冠詞的習語：in the morning, on the left, the day before yesterday, in the end(最后) the same

at the same time (同時), the bed(鋪床), all the time(一直),by the way(順便說一下),on the way(在路上)

由普通名詞構成的專有名詞 ：the West Lake 西湖 the Great Wall 長城 the United States 美國

the United Nations 聯合國 , the Long March 長征

⑩形容詞加the名詞變---用在形容詞前表示一類人，“特指”某類人和物，其后動詞應用復數形式。

The old are sick. the rich 富人 the sick 病人 the wounded 傷員 the good 好人

⑾方位次序最高級---用在方向、方位、次序、序數詞及最高級的前面

用在表示方向、方位的名詞前：the south of the Yangtze River.在……的南面

the east東方，the west西方，the south南方， the north北方，the right右邊，the left左邊

次序、序數詞: The first man to. 第一個到……人。The fifth，

最高級:Summer is the hottest season. 夏天是一年中最炎熱的季節。the nearest
