基數(shù)詞

基數(shù)詞和序數(shù)詞的變化形式

one—first eleven—eleventh two—second twelve—twelfth three—third thirteen—thirteenth

thirty—thirtieth four—fourth fourteen—fourteenth forty—fortieth five—fifth

fifteen—fifteenth fifty—fiftieth six—sixth sixteen—sixteenth sixty—sixtieth

seven—seventh seventeen—seventeenth seventy—seventieth eight—eighth

eighteen—eighteenth eighty—eightieth nine—ninth nineteen—nineteenth

twenty one—twenty?first ten—tenth twenty—twentieth

twenty?two—twenty?second

基數(shù)詞變序數(shù)詞有一定的規(guī)律，序數(shù)詞一般是在基數(shù)詞的后面加t h,以t y結(jié)尾的將y變成i再加e t h。

常出現(xiàn)在考題中的序數(shù)詞有first, second, third, fifth, eighth, ninth, twelfth等。

序數(shù)詞

1. 序數(shù)詞前必須加the。如：

The second is what I really need.第二個(gè)是我真正需要的。

2.序數(shù)詞前若有限定詞,則可以不用加the。如：

It is my third time to visit Beijing.這是我第三次游覽北京。

3.序數(shù)詞前面也可以加不定冠詞a或an,表示“又一”,“再”,內(nèi)含順序性。如：

We have tried it three times. Must we try it a fourth time? 我們已經(jīng)試過三遍了。還必須試一次(第四次)嗎?

基數(shù)詞變序數(shù)詞口訣

基變序，有規(guī)律，末尾加上t h;

一二三，特殊記，八加h,九去e,v e要用f替，

以y結(jié)尾變i e,后跟t h莫忘記;

若想表示幾十幾，只變個(gè)位就可以。

考點(diǎn)二概數(shù)詞

概數(shù)詞的用法

1. 與具體的數(shù)字one, two…等連用,要用單數(shù)形式。如：

five hundred people 五百人

two thousand books兩千本書

many million trees幾百萬棵樹

2. 和“of ”連用時(shí),前面不能有具體的數(shù)字,而且數(shù)詞本身必須用復(fù)數(shù)。如：

hundreds of數(shù)以百計(jì)的

thousands of 數(shù)以千計(jì)的

millions of 數(shù)以百萬計(jì)的

billions of 數(shù)以十億計(jì)的

注意：前面可以被many, several, a few 修飾。

如：many hundreds of students好幾百名學(xué)生

考點(diǎn)三分?jǐn)?shù)的表達(dá)

分?jǐn)?shù)的表達(dá)中,分子用基數(shù)詞,分母用序數(shù)詞;若分子大于1,分母用復(fù)數(shù)。如：

one fourth或者a quarter四分之一

three fourths或者three quarters四分之三

a half或者one half二分之一,一半

two thirds三分之二

注意：當(dāng)分?jǐn)?shù)作主語時(shí),謂語動(dòng)詞的單復(fù)數(shù)要由分?jǐn)?shù)后面的名詞而定：當(dāng)是不可數(shù)名詞時(shí),謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)形式;

當(dāng)是可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)時(shí),謂語動(dòng)詞要用復(fù)數(shù)形式。

考點(diǎn)四年份、日期、編號(hào)的表達(dá)

1. 年份、日期表示法

通常英式英語表達(dá)為“日、月、年”,而美式英語表達(dá)為“月、日、年”。

一般年份用基數(shù)詞,日期用序數(shù)詞(可簡(jiǎn)寫),月份用月份名稱,年份后面不用year。如：on May fifth,2007 在2007年5月5日

2. 編號(hào)表示法

名詞加基數(shù)詞等于the加序數(shù)詞加名詞。如：

第一課Lesson One等于the first lesson;

第二頁P(yáng)age Two等于the second page;

2路公車Bus Number two或the Number two bus。

有時(shí)可以直接用數(shù)字來表示。如：

Room 206, Class two, Grade one…(注意：使用時(shí)要注意大小寫)

考點(diǎn)五其他表達(dá)法

1. half an hour半小時(shí)

2. one and a half hours等于one hour and a half一個(gè)半小時(shí)

3. in one's thirties在某人30多歲(區(qū)別：in the thirties在30年代)

4. an eight?year?old boy一個(gè)八歲的男孩

5. a 100?meter?long bridge一座100米長(zhǎng)的橋
